Rosalie’s Chocolates partnered with the travel retail magazine The Moodie Davitt Report to host the Dream Recipe contest. Travel retail professionals could enter their dream chocolate bonbon recipe to have a chance at seeing their dream chocolate bonbon created by Rosalie’s Belgian chocolatier Noël Le Jeune. We announced and celebrated the winners during the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes.

Chocolate flavours from around the world

Seventeen travel retail professionals from around the world participated in the Dream Recipe competition. From Amsterdam, to the Middle East, to New Delhi, the result was a surprisingly diverse range of originally flavoured chocolate bonbons. Some contestants even went as far as to design the potential decoration and presentation of their chocolate creations!

Natural ingredients combined for a modern flavour

Rosalie’s Chef Chocolatier studied every recipe in detail. He finally selected three winners by looking for chocolate bonbons made from widely available ingredients and natural flavours, sprinkled with a sense of originality. Classic chocolate bonbons with a modern twist, just like Rosalie’s Chocolates. The three tasty winning chocolates?

  • A bergamot, turmeric and coconut bonbon.
  • A chocolate bonbon enriched with honeycomb and cinnamon.
  • A bonbon made with pistachio paste, coffee and cardamon.

As the winners were announced in Cannes, Chef Chocolatier Noël Le Jeune offered both the winners and the public the first tasting of their bonbons, paired with a special wine from one of our partners at the fair. Every winner will also receive ten personalized boxes filled with their winning chocolate bonbons. The winning chocolate bonbons will not be for sale. A sad fact, we know. Luckily, you can always comfort yourself with some goood Rosalie’s Chocolates.
