Rosalie’s Chocolates makes a splash at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes

After the virtual edition of 2020, Rosalie’s chocolate physically participated for the second time to The Tax Free World Exhibition & Conference, the largest summit for travel retail specialists held every year at the fashionable French seaside town of Cannes. Our team resisted the temptation to stroll down the Boulevard de la Croisette and presented Rosalie’s collection of Belgian chocolate bonbons to international buyers, met colleagues and learned from the best and brightest in the travel retail business.

Poppin’ pastel colours make Rosalie’s Chocolates stand out

The Cannes fair is a unique opportunity for Rosalie’s Chocolates to present our Belgian chocolate collection to colleagues from all over the world. During the conference, our sales representatives Gerry and Jean-François met up with a large number of retail representatives and buyers. We were happy to discover that our colleagues appreciated Rosalie’s pastel-coloured stand with its bright yellow banner. It feels great to receive such positive feedback from experts in our field, who not only enjoyed our goood Belgian chocolates, but were also impressed by our sustainable mission. An unexpected bonus? Rosalie’s Chocolates was located right next to the sandwich bar, which drew a natural flow of hungry visitors to our stand!

The highlight of the conference was the announcement of the winners of Rosalie’s Chocolates Dream Recipe Contest, in partnership with The Moodie Davitt Report. Competitors from all across the world sent in delicious chocolate bonbon recipes, and Chef Chocolatier Noël Le Jeune personally chose the three winners. He presented them with a personalised box of bonbons of their own creation. Visitors could join in on the celebrations to taste some original chocolate flavours!

The future is sustainable

Most inspiring of the conference was seeing young start-ups promote their organic and sustainable products, boldly holding their own between big brands in a competitive market. It was good to be in such brave company. It’s clear that the future, even in travel retail, is sustainable. And Rosalie’s Chocolates is happy to be among the pioneering brands! It was equally inspiring to see the stands of big and well-known confectionary brands and learn from their years of experience on how to market yourself at global events. We returned home to Brussels happy with the results, inspired for the future and with a new trick or two up our sleeves!
